It’s with bittersweet emotions we say goodbye to Chintan who is leaving to start his own lab at the University of Kentucky. Chintan has spearheaded the work in the lab on the role of PASK in regulating muscle stem cell differentiation and the Kikani lab will undoubtably do amazing things in the future.

Chintan’s paper linking mTORC1-PASK and muscle differentiation is out in PNAS. This work is a tour de force by Chintan and marks the culmination of his time here before he leaves to establish his own laboratory.

Farewell Eric!
After a successful six years in the Rutter lab, Eric Fredrickson is moving to a position in biotech here in Salt Lake City. During his time in the lab, Eric published two first author papers on the mitochondrial protein Vms1. We wish him the best of luck in his new position!
