It’s with bittersweet emotions we say goodbye to Chintan who is leaving to start his own lab at the University of Kentucky. Chintan has spearheaded the work in the lab on the role of PASK in regulating muscle stem cell differentiation and the Kikani lab will undoubtably do amazing things in the future.

Session on Mitochondrial Stress at the Gordon Research Conference on Mitochondrial Dynamics and Signaling led by Jared with talks by Nora Kory, Carmen Bekeova, Jyoti Jaiswal, Luke Wiseman, Monica Driscoll, Gyorgy “isabadguy” Szabadkai, and Noa Sher that had mostly nothing to do with MitoStress “But that’s ok!” according to Jared.

After a successful six years in the Rutter lab, Eric Fredrickson is moving to a position in biotech here in Salt Lake City. During his time in the lab, Eric published two first author papers on the mitochondrial protein Vms1. We wish him the best of luck in his new position!
